Forget about driving the car—except for special outings—as everything you need is here. In winter, Mont-Tremblant is a popular ski destination and in summer the place literally offers mountains of outdoor fun. The 314-room Fairmont Tremblant, a property located in the village at the base of the mountain, overlooks Lake Tremblant and has tastefully decorated rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, plus a spa.

Why Families Love It:
Along with the convenience of a self-contained resort, Mont-Tremblant village adds a friendly, hometown touch. During the summer, balloon sculptors, stilt-walkers, and magicians perform and Crazy Parades enthrall kids with face painting, clowns, dancing, and music. Nearby Tremblant Resort (not the Fairmont Tremblant) offers additional activities, and you can swim, kayak, and windsurf at the lake, or splash in the warmer water at La Source, an indoor/outdoor pool complex. Along with golf, tennis, and inline skating, challenge yourself by hiking, rock-climbing on real cliffs, and by tackling the ropes course (there’s one just for kids).

Also operated by Tremblant Resort, the Kidz Club cares for ages one to six. Little ones have stories and toys and older kids go swimming, play mini-golf, and take nature walks. With the tennis and water-sports program for ages eight and older, kids practice serves and volleys and then go wake boarding, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking. Reserve these programs at least 24 hours in advance.

Special Events & Activities:
Want something different? Then steer a non-motorized cart down the luge course, a one-mile downhill blast for the daring and curious alike.
