Biography
The only thing Kate Siber loves as much as wordsmithing is adventure travel, and the Durango, Colorado-based freelance writer has the passport stamps to prove it: In recent years, she's hit Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Ecuador, Peru, Iceland, Spain, China, Fiji, and Tahiti, to name a few. Along the way, she has stalked endangered rhinos with a conservation team, spotted a mama leopard teaching two cubs to hunt, learned to shoot blow guns in the Amazon, and dived with 1,000-pound bull sharks. Suffice it to say she doesn't shy away from a challenge in pursuit of a good story. When at home in the Rocky Mountains, she runs, hikes, bikes, and practices yoga. Siber's work has also appeared in Outside, Men's Journal, National Geographic Adventure, and The New York Times.
