Brimming with epic World Heritage Sites and rife with pharaonic treasures, Egypt luxuriates in its rich history as it romances the afterlife.

A third of the world's antiquities are found in Egypt, far more than all the country's museums can possibly house. The three Pyramids of Giza rise on the outskirts of Cairo, along with the enigmatic Sphinx. In ancient Thebes, now known as Luxor, pharaohs constructed monuments to both themselves and their gods, assembling dazzling tombs for the afterlife in the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. Nearby, the Temples of Karnak represent the largest religious establishment ever built.
