San Diego is pretty much a year-round destination, meaning the prices don't really fluctuate all that much. That said, summer is definitely the busiest season, so few bargains then. November to February is the quietest time, so you might score some good deals then, though the water might get a little chilly for swimming (ie, no dolphin swimming). Perhaps look to March or April before the worst of the crowds, so you can hit the beach with some slightly warmer air and water temps.

There are a lot of romantic dates you and your husband could go on. You could ride a gondola as you sip wine. (Contact The Gondola Company for more information). San Diego is known for its sunsets so why not check one out? A few restaurants that offer spectacular views are Bertrand at Mister A's, George's Outdoor Terrace Bistro, Forever Fondue, and Marine Room. Lastly, go on a dinner cruise!
