The hotels overlooking the run route sell out more than a year in advance, so if you are just now booking for July 2011 I doubt you will get one. But keep trying and see what comes up! Check out this site for some good options: http://bit.ly/anatV1
Answer this1 AnswerSpain's rail network is a comfortable and cost effective way to travel. There are three daily services between Barcelona and Pamplona (225 miles), leaving at 0730h, 1230h, and 2200h. Journey takes about 5-6 hours and will cost you approx. 40 euros one way. As you're arriving at Barcelona in the evening, book the overnight train and that will give you time to explore this gorgeous Catalan city and enjoy a bit of the tapas and nightlife. Remember to book well ahead if you're headed to Pamplona any time around the San Fermin Festival---aka, the running of the bulls. You can also fly or drive between the two cities; Iberia flies two daily services, the first leaving at 1040h and the last at 2210h (flight takes an hour). I found one-way fares starting at US$200, so more expensive than the train.
