Lacy answered:If you're driving, it takes about an hour. Of course, you're in or near New York City so traffic can be a major factor. There are several buses and vans that will take you between the two--just go to the public transportation section of the airport and there will be desks there for you. The average price of these is around $25. You will usually have to wait until there is a van-load of people before they'll take off which can be frustrating but if you're there at a decent time there is usually plenty of people looking to make that trip as well. Or you can always take a cab. This is the most expensive option, but also the fastest.

Anonymous user asked:Anonymous user answered:The subway is the cheapest form of transportation. Cabs are very expensive. Walking around Time Square is the easiest way to see it and the stores, theaters, etc...and how you get there will depend on where you are staying. More than about 10 blocks (north-south) and I'd take the subway if saving time is a priority....Where you should start will depend on where you are staying and what your priorities are. I'd do the Statue of Liberty first, but that's me. Ground Zero is a moving experience cool and you can walk from there to the boat to the Statue.

Anonymous user asked:Anonymous user answered:The Amtrak train runs from Bangor, Maine (72 miles south of Millinocket) to New York City. You would have to get a ride to Bangor. You could also rent a car in Bangor, and drive. FYI, you have to be 21 in most states to rent a car. So, it looks like if you can get to Bangor you've got it made. I worked at a summer camp before I was a teacher and I loved the Camp America people!! Hope you have a great summer. '

Anonymous user asked:Where's the best city to experience July 4th in the U.S.?Answer this6 Answersppmickey answered:If I were coming from the UK and wanting to experience the 4th of July, I would probably head for New York City, New York or Washington, D.C. I'm sure there are many other wonderful places, but New York City really knows how to hold celebrations. They have great fireworks displays and great New Year's Eve celebrations. T.here is probably more history in Washington, D.C. or Boston On a personal side, I no longer attend fireworks live, I prefer to watch them on television. Columbus, Ohio holds fireworks on the 4th of July along with activities for families all day long. Their fireworks are called, "Red, White and Boom". It all depends on whether you want the big city experience or would rather go to a small town for their celebrations. Smaller fireworks and a smaller town experience can be just as rewarding. If you are going with friends, go along with them, wherever they are going and share the experience. If you hate large crowds and heavy traffic, watch it on television and keep changing the channels to see what all is happening in different cities. I hope you have success in making your decision, and welcome to the USA.
