Joking aside, I'd say keep it simple and enjoy splashing in the waves and your hotel's kiddie pool, go for long walks through places like Myrtle Beach State Park and Huntington Beach State Park, and just in general enjoy being out and about en famille. Have fun (and congrats!).

You can see some of the sites in Philly's Old City and catch a bus near the Constitution Center for a short ride to the prison: http://www.easternstate.org And of course everyone can run the Rocky steps in front of the Philly Art Museum.
