I'd wait til January to buy the tickets and try CheapOAir, and all the other discount airfare locations such as Orbitz, Priceline etc.. Also we took at cruise out of Miami last March and it was our fifth cruise, we love cruising but OMG we were not prepared for the outrageous behavior of the college students from Florida. It was so BAD the cruise line gave us a $800.00 on board credit for our next cruise which will be in February this year. Good luck going in March. Be sure to buy a spa pass on your ship that is the only way you are going to get peace and quiet and a chance a a hot tub or pool use. I am so sorry for you.

If you're looking to spend your time watching the fireworks away from the crowds, Miami's hotel rooftops are sure to be the perfect place. Townhouse Hotel's Rooftop Lounge (http://www.townhousehotel.com/rooftop.asp) offers a beautiful 360-degree view of Miami's skyline and king-size waterbeds to lounge on while sipping your cocktail. Another spot to try is the Spire Bar & Lounge in The Hotel(http://www.thehotelofsouthbeach.com/spire.htm). While there aren't any king-size waterbeds here, there is a 1939 Art-deco spire that rises above the terrace and changes color with the sunset. Fireworks are sure to enhance the surrounding beauty.
