Barbara asked:Are there any shared taxis (sheeroot) from Jerusalem to Ein Gedi?Answer this1 AnswerAlistair answered:Barbara, I couldn't find specific information about shared taxis to Ein Gedi, as these seem mostly to operate to operate between the airport and city center. There are a number of bus routes to Ein Gedi on Israel's largest bus line, Egged (which, according to Wikipedia is also the world's second-largest bus company!). There looks to be about ten services throughout the day, running every hour or so. The most frequent is the #486, which is an express service that takes about 1.5 hours. Departure is from Jerusalem's Central Bus Station. Check the Egged website for more information about fares and times here: http://www.egged.co.il/
