Anonymous user asked:Anonymous user answered:Yeah, it will be hot that time of year, but you're right, the town's oceanside setting makes it that much more bearable. As for the party-town vibe, I don't think you need to worry too much. Just stay away from Duval Street later at night and you'll be fine. My wife and I honeymooned here and managed to avoid the seedier, uglier stuff. That said, the atmosphere on the waterfront at Mallory Square is really fun; totally family-friendly, if a little crowded and overdone when the big cruise ships are in. That said, plenty of low-key places, beaches, and attractions in and around Key West to make this a good family vacation pick. If you haven't already booked, check out our family-travel expert's profile of the Beachside Resort (http://blogs.away.com/travel/2008/08/the-other-key-w.html).

Anonymous user asked:Anonymous user answered:The trick to Key West over the holidays won't be in finding places that are open -- this place lives to party, plus rests on tourism -- but finding places that aren't booked solid. Good idea to start looking now!

Anonymous user asked:Anonymous user answered:Please note.. The Conch Republic Independence Celebration takes place in Key West Apr 16-25. This is one of the biggest partying times in Key West and it gets really crazy! Prices for lodging also goes up during this time. Instead, check out the Marathon area. It is located in the middle Keys, less than an hours drive north of Key West. Lodging is cheaper and town is more family oriented. Check the web for a vast selection of rental homes and condos near Key Colony Beach, Sombrero Beach (fantastic public beach) and Coco Plum Beach. The most beautiful beach in the Keys is at Bahia Honda State Park, just minutes from Marathon and a fantastic inexpensive day trip for kids While in Marathon, a must see for kids is The Turtle Hospital. There's also a swim with the dolpins nearby. A great place for a free time is an old portion of the Seven Mile bridge that's open for pedestrians, bicycles and pier fishing. The views are gorgeous, and there's lots of marine life to view.

David answered:The normal water temperature is in the mid 70's in November. It will usually fall through the month depending on the frequency of cold fronts coming down from the North. For the last couple of year's the annual low has been about 68, which doesn't happen until late January or February
