That's a perfect time of year to visit (though who knows what this year will bring with all the crazy winter weather!). Daytime highs are usually in the mid-70s to 80s, with very little humidity or rainfall. Water temps will be a bit fresher, though warming slightly after winter.

Lodging is cheaper and town is more family oriented. Check the web for a vast selection of rental homes and condos near Key Colony Beach, Sombrero Beach (fantastic public beach) and Coco Plum Beach. The most beautiful beach in the Keys is at Bahia Honda State Park, just minutes from Marathon and a fantastic inexpensive day trip for kids While in Marathon, a must see for kids is The Turtle Hospital. There's also a swim with the dolpins nearby. A great place for a free time is an old portion of the Seven Mile bridge that's open for pedestrians, bicycles and pier fishing. The views are gorgeous, and there's lots of marine life to view.
