Answer this2 AnswersThe ferry ride is $17.00 per person. This must be paid in advance to hold your reservation. Once you have phoned the park service, 1-877-860-6787, and made reservations, they will send you a bill and confirm your reservation. In addition to this there is a $4.00 per person day use fee and a $2.00 per person per night back country camping fee or $4.00 sea camp fee in you plan to stay the night on the island.
Answer this1 AnswerAbsolutely, though just be sure to check on weather and tides for your trip. Best thing to do is check in with the rangers at the St. Marys Visitor Center before putting in, so they can get you a map and show the best places to dock on the south end of the island. If you're planning on camping there overnight, you'll need to make a reservation and get a permit from the same visitor's center. And lastly, don't forget to pack bug spray, water, and whatever you need for lunch!
Answer this1 AnswerIt's pretty much a straight shot for you down I-16 to Tybee Island (GA) and Hilton Head Island (SC).
