Anonymous user asked:We are planning a trip to California/Oregon the 3rd week in October. We love to visit...Answer this2 AnswersAnonymous user answered:Crater Lake is OPEN year Round. The Crater Lake lodging and the Dinning stop early to allow enought time to close up properly. October is a delight full color experience! Many guests come to see the fall spectrum. We actually have a returning group of Photographers staying with us to gather the ambient light of fall. The snow level is not usually a problem. Places to stay and eat - The best is Prospect Historic Hotel Motel and Dinner House. The closest to Crater Lake. Bed and Breakfast Inn or Modern Motel with an excellant Dinner HOuse and a good cafe right next door. www.prospecthotel.com
