Check out the Red, White, and Blue Ash 4th of July activity. My 17 year olds last year where hesitant due to the country music theme (Charlie Daniels Band) but they were blown away by the fire work display- the best they have seen. My 8 year old also enjoyed it (some rides for him)We went around dinner time which was good for the teens. We are going again this year and the 18 year olds brought friends this time. You can take food in or eat there.

Obviously, being on the waterfront is the best seat in the house, so you'll be in good shape given that the Reds' stadium is right on the banks of the Ohio. It'll be crowded down there, so another option might be to try Devou Park across the river in Covington, Kentucky, with good views over the city. Better yet, ask for a waterfront-facing room at the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter, also in Covington and only a short walk across the Ohio to the ballpark and other major Cincinnati attractions.
