Anonymous user asked:traveling in 5th wheeler with another couple..they also have a 5th W. going in july &...Answer this2 AnswersAnonymous user answered:Go to Homer to camp and charter a fishing trip for halibut. After fishing, leave the Spit, turn right and follow that road. You may see a bear or moose, and you will see a glacier. At the Russian River near Soldotna watch combat fishing. Seward has campgrounds, a glacier and a reasonably priced Oriental restaurant. Their sea life museum is wonderful. You can fish there, too. Hope is interesting to visit. In Portage, you can take a glacier cruise, drive through an animal rescue center. Past Girdwood, there are some nice camping areas. You can watch for the tidal bore. In Anchorage, go to Earthquake Park, the Port, and Ship Creek. Go to Hatcher Pass between Palmer and Wasila (easier to reach from Palmer). Check out the Knic River, see the Russian Spirit Houses (in Chugiak?), and visit the Eagle River Nature Center. North on Parks to Talkeetna and take a ride to Petersville. You can get a good feel for Alaska on this trip. Eat at the Talkeetna Roadhouse.
