The park is a beautiful spruce forest environment that provides a wonderful habitat for bobcat, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, fox and black beer.

Recreation
The Denton Hill State Park offers skiing through a private company known as Ski Denton. They offer 3 Poma lifts and 1 chairlift with combined uphill capacity of 3,150 skiers per hour. There are cross-country trails offered as well. The difficulty of the slopes is broken down into thirds with 1/3 designed for beginners, 1/3 for intermediate skiers and 1/3 for advanced skiers. The company also offers a ski school, a ski shop, rentals, cafeteria and lounge.

Location
Denton Hill State Park is located in Potter County in the north central area of the state. The park is about 10 - 12 miles west on US 6 from Galeton and about 10 - 12 miles east of Coudersport.
