What to do in DeGray Lake Resort State Park

Arkansas's premier resort park lies on the north shore of a 13,800-acre fishing and water sport paradise.

The park's full-service, year round marina offers tackle, dock space, fuel and a wide variety of boat rentals. The 18-hole, public championship golf course (7,200 yards) has a lighted driving range and practice greens. The Pro Shop offers refreshments, golf equipment and apparel, as well as cart and club rentals. Within the 96 room lodge overlooking the lake, the Shoreline Restaurant offers a full menu, plus banquet catering services. There are also tennis courts, hiking and horseback riding trails, and 113 campsites available.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park offers camping, tennis, golfing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, and boating activities. Interpreters also offer scenic boat tours, slide presentations, movies and outdoor workshops.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park is located in the Ouachita Mountains Region in southwestern Arkansas. To reach the park, take Exit #78 off I-30 at Caddo Valley/Arkadelphia and travel seven miles north on Scenic Arkansas Hwy. 7 to the park.

Arkansas has a temperate climate with the coldest temperatures near freezing during December, January and February. Daytime highs for these months usually reach 55 degrees F. Spring and fall temperatures are very mild with lows dipping to 44 degrees F and highs reaching 70 degrees F. July and August are the hottest months of the year with average temperatures reaching 90 degrees F. June and September average temperatures usually reach into the mid-eighties. Spring and winter months are the wettest of the year.
