What to do in Chittenango Falls State Park

Chittenango Falls State Park is located in the Central Travel Region of New York 4 miles north of the small town of Cazenovia. Trails above and below the gorgeous waterfalls attract thousands of visitors each year. Camping, picnicking, hiking and a playground are offered.

The glacial-sculpted park features an impressive 167-foot waterfall over Onondaga limestone along the Chittenango Creek. The park is located in the Central Travel Region of New York just 4 miles north of the small town of Cazenovia. This area has several nearby attractions including Cazenovia Lake, Cazenovia College and Lorenzo Estate.

Recreation
Viewing scenery is the main attraction at Chittenango Falls State Park. A trail winds down into the gorge offering views of the waterfalls from a footbridge. It then ascends to the top of the falls on the opposite side of the gorge offering a different but just as spectacular view. Camping, picnicking, hiking, a nature trail, fishing opportunities and a children's playground are amenities at Chittenango Falls State Park.
