One of Australia's best holiday towns, Byron Bay draws visitors from everywhere. It is surrounded by tropical hills where many choose alternative lifestyles. Within the town itself you get a mix of backpackers, rich holiday house owners from the cities, surfers and family holiday makers. The beaches are really stunning and dolphins and whales are often seen here. The nighlife is great for younger visitors but probably a touch noisy for the older folks. Really though the best part of Byron is getting down to the beach and mixing it with everyone else.
