The trail travels easterly from the Needles Road 4 miles from the Western Divide Highway to the Needles Fire Lookout. The trail is on the north slope of Needles Ridge and offers a view of the Lloyd Meadow and western half of the Golden Trout Wilderness. There is no water on this trail or at the lookout.

Directions: From Quaking Aspen, Travel south to FS 21S05 then travel west to the trailhead.

Elevation: 7,800 feet

Elevation Gain: 400 feet

Distance: 2.2 miles

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate
