Horses are prohibited on the Blue Lake Trail from May 15 to September 15 annually to help reduce adverse impacts on the trail and lake area.
Overnight use is not permitted in the Blue Lake Closure Area. Overuse and abuse in the past have resulted in severe damage to the areas around the lakes and a closure has been implemented to allow the area to recover. Camping along the trial may be limited due to the high popularity of this drainage.
