The Big South Trail begins at Highway 14, about 50 miles and leads to Peterson Lake and Long Draw Reservoir. Whether you are on horseback, backpacking or just out for a hike, good fishing can be reached by this trail. Peterson Lake, Long Draw Reservoir and even Mirror lake are accessible. Portions of this trail lead through the Comanche Peak Wilderness.

Directions: From Fort Collins, Travel northwest on Highway 14 about 58 miles. The trailhead is 1 mile west of Poudre Falls on the south side of the road. The trailhead is visible from the road.
