Terminus is at a bird blind so be sure to take binoculars.

This 1-mile hike winds through a hardwood forest of oaks, holly and hickory and ends at an observation blind. This is a trail where the visitor will want to have their binoculars because of the abundant bird life.

Directions: From Woodbridge, VA, Mason Neck is approximately 20 miles from Washington, D.C. and 7 miles northeast of Woodbridge. Take U.S. 1 to Rt. 242 (Gunston Road) and go 5 miles east to the park entrance. Continue on main park road and park in the first parking area on the right. Trail begins immediately before parking area.

Elevation: 250 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 1.0 miles
