This trail leads seven miles southeastward along the upper Sol Duc River valley. It follows a moderate grade with some steep terrain along Bridge Creek. This path provides access to backpacking and primitive camping opportunities in the western Olympic Mountains. It leads through montane and subalpine forests.

The trailhead for this route lies at the end of Sol Duc River Road. Individuals staying at Sol Duc Campground can access the trail by hiking southeastward along the southern bank of the Sol Duc River three miles to meet the Sol Duc River Trail. Beyond this junction the trail the trail follows the northern bank of the river. Remaining close to the river for five miles through thick forest and few clearings the track reaches a junction with the Appleton Pass Trail.

Beyond this junction the route continues to climb slowly. A flat area beyond the trail junction provides campsites next to the river. Less than a mile past the Appleton Pass Trail, our route crosses the Sol Duc river and begins climbing past Bridge Creek Falls. The track uses switchbacks to ascend through the Bridge Creek drainage. Less than a mile from the Sol Duc crossing the tread fords Bridge Creek. The trail continues to climb on the eastern side of the drainage.

A mile from the Bridge Creek fork the trail reaches Sol Duck Park. This level meadow land lies on the northeastern side of High Divide. Sol Duc Park Camp lies in this area before the second crossing of Bridge Creek. After crossing to the western bank of Bridge Creek the trail leads through a large level meadow land for one mile to a junction with High Divide Trail.
