This minimally maintained trail is little more than a path established by hikers and fishermen over the years. The elevation gain is deceiving as the trail climbs steeply, then descends steeply to the lakes. The trail is fairly well established to Huckleberry Creek (1.8 miles) after which it becomes steep and difficult to follow. Please use only established campsites as wilderness rangers are working to revegetate overly used areas.

Directions: From Hoodsport, Travel north on Highway 101 for 14 miles to Forest Service Rd 25 (Hamma Hamma Recreation Area). Follow FS 25 for 14 miles to the trailhead at the end of the road.
