Diablo Lake Trail is a moderate, four mile hike along the northern shoreline of Diablo Lake. Access to this trail is from Sourdough Creek parking area along Diablo Dam Road. A round- trip option is to boat one way on the Seattle City Light Ferry.
The trail begins at an elevation of 1,230 feet. It leads to the east gaining 400 feet in the first mile. The route continues to gain elevation as it leads eastward moving closer to the lakeshore in the second mile from the trailhead. The trail gains elevation slightly between miles two and three before steeply descending to the lakeshore between Riprap Creek and Pierce Falls. Once the trail reaches the lakeshore it crosses the lake and climbs southward to the Ross Dam parking area.
Directions: From Ross Dam Parking Area, The trail ends at this parking area, located near mile marker 130 on Highway 20.
