The Lakeshore Trail begins at the Golden West Visitor Center and leads 17.2 miles southward to Prince Creek. There is an elevation gain of 500 feet one-way to Prince Creek. The trail leads along the northern shore of Lake Chelan providing excellent views of the lake and opportunities for fishing. It can be used in conjunction with Forest Service trails 1248 and 1259 and Purple Creek Trail to form a long loop for backpacking.
Directions: From Stehekin Landing, Follow signs to the Golden West Visitor Center. The trailhead is located outside the visitor center.
