The Shadow of the Sentinels Trail is an easy 0.5 mile barrier-free interpretive trail. Huge Douglas fir and cedar trees tower above a forest floor of ferns, moss and berry bushes. There are signs along the route explaining the dynamics of this 500 year old forest. The trail is constructed of asphalt and boardwalks with grades no greater than 8%.

Directions: From Sedro-Woolley, Follow State Route 20 east for 17 miles to milepost 82. Turn left on the Baker Lake Hwy. (Forest Road #11). Continue on this road for 15 miles. The trailhead and parking area are located on the right behind the Komo Kulshan Guard Station. An accessible toilet is available at the trailhead.
