Balance Rock Trail is a good half day-hike. The trail is easy to negotiate and fairly short.

Balance Rock Trail is marked with yellow plastic markers beginning at the left hand side of the park road near Mill Pond. The trail begins off Five Summers Trail, soon after the road gate. The path rises moderately and passes an overlook of North Pond just before reaching Balance Rock at 1 mile. Views of Bryant Mountain, elevation 2,260, are to the north.

Directions: From Goshen, NH, Pillsbury State Park is located along SR 31 a few miles north of Washington and several miles south of Goshen. Pass the park contact station and travel to Mill Pond. Look for yellow plastic markers on the left-hand side of the road.
