Allen Mountain Trail, formerly known as Skate Mountain Trail, located near Road 8460, climbs 2.5 miles to the top of Allen Mountain. From the summit it enters the open, sub alpine landscape and follows the ridge to its junction with Greenwood Lake Trail #253.

Directions: From Highway 12, Travel north on Primary Forest Route 52 to Secondary Forest Route 84. From 84 travel south to road 8460 and park.

Elevation: 4,240 feet

Ending Elevation: 4,720 feet

Elevation Gain: 280 feet
