Oak and Hemlock are loops located on the west side of the park intersecting off Ridge Trail. Hemlock Trail extend approximately 2 miles through a hemlock forest offering views of the lovely Locust Creek. Oak Loop encircles a ridge located in a mature deciduous forest and is approximately 4 miles.

Directions: From Mahanoy City, PA, Take the PA Route 54 exit from Interstate 81. Head southwest on SR 1006 approximately 4 - 6 miles to the state park. Travel to the back side of the lake. Begin on Ridge Trail which may be accessed across from the amphitheater.
