Lake Trail begins just after you pass the park office and travels the entire length of the lake down to SR 3029. At this point, you must turn around and retrace your steps for a 3 mile hike. You may choose to cross the road (at the beginning of the trail) to access Hemlock Trail which parallels Laurel Hill Creek. If you do that, Hemlock Trail ends on a park road which you will travel south just a few feet to pick up Bobcat Trail which touches Buck Run several times. Combining these trails offers a hike of almost 4 miles one-way. Both Laurel Hill Creek and Buck Run offer great fishing opportunities.
Directions: From Somerset, PA, Travel west on SR 31 approximately 6 - 8 miles turning left (south) onto SR 3037. Follow it to the park entrance. The trail begins along the east side the main park road just before crossing Laurel Hill Creek.
