The Gold Lake Trail is an easy 1.5 mile trail at an elevation of 5,800 feet. This trail is suited for families and is an easy day hike. Swimming and fishing are available at the lake, but campsites are limited. The trail accesses the 21,000 acre Buck Lake Wilderness and the Pacific Crest Trail.

Directions: From Quincy, Travel wet on Bucks Lake Road for 9.2 miles, then through Meadow Valley. Turn right on graveled road (24N29X.) Note Silver Lake sign and proceed 6.4 miles to campground and lake.

Elevation: 5,800 feet

Ending Elevation: 6,200 feet

Elevation Gain: 400 feet

Difficulty: Easy
