Most folks arrive at Isle Royale National Park anxious to hit the trails and paddle the waterways discovering the backcountry; therefore, saving this trail to the end of your visit is probably best. While waiting to board the boat, this 30-minute hike gives the visitor one last taste of Isle Royale's unique wilderness. The park has developed a 1.2-mile interpretive trail featuring 12 education posts accompanied by a trail brochure depicting the island's plant life and wildlife.
