Tobin Harbor Trail begins by the seaplane dock on Tobin Harbor. A trail from the Rock Harbor Lodge provides access to the start of Tobin Harbor Trail. The linear path follows small rises and dips along the south shore of Tobin Harbor; a relatively easy hike made enjoyable by the pleasant harbor views and beautiful spruce, fir and aspen woodland.

Several hiking options are available: From the start near the seaplane dock to the trail's terminus at Mt. Franklin Trail, the distance is 3.0 miles. Head north for 1.5 miles to access Greenstone Ridge Trail. Or head south for 0.5 mile to reach Rock Harbor Trail. Turn east (left) to return to Rock Harbor Lodge for a 6.4-mile hike. The other option is cutting down onto Suzy's Cave Trail (1.8 miles from dock), looping back to Rock Harbor for a 3.8-mile hike.

Note: Near the trail junction of Mt. Franklin Trail and Rock Harbor Trail, Three-Mile Campground offers overnight sites for individuals and groups (10 max.).
