Lane Cove Trail is a favorite route for serious backpackers that wish to escape from busier trails and campgrounds. The trail travels between the junction of Greenstone Ridge and Mt. Franklin offering a route to the island's area known as Five Fingers. With scenic landscape including small fiords and islets, the campground at Lane Cove is a satisfying first night out from Rock Harbor. The trail to the cove is an enjoyable route immediately descending off The Greenstone then evolving into an undulated route to the very scenic Lane Cove Campground. Pit toilets and individual sites only.
Directions: From Greenstone Ridge Trail, Lane Cove Trail begins from the junction of Mt. Franklin Trail and Greenstone Ridge Trail, northwest of Rock Harbor.
