From July to early October, Sierra Blanca Mountain is usually snow-free, and in fall, often rain-free. The highest mountain in Southern New Mexico, Sierra Blanca's peaks are an impressive site. During the day, a maze of evergreens and wildflowers lead hikers up the trail; at sunset, the mountaintop glows in a pink and orange sky.
