This one mile trail can be accessed from Loop 3 of PiƱon Flats Campground if you park in the Amphitheater parking area. You can also park in the Montville parking area and start from Mosca Pass Trail. Either way, your stroll along the Wellington Ditch Trail has fairly level footing and very little elevation gain.

The trail is named "Wellington" after a homesteader who settled here in the 1920's. Needing water for his homestead, he hand-dug an irrigation ditch from Mosca Creek. Parts of the trail follow the original ditch.

Horseback riding is not permitted on this trail.

Directions: From Visitor Center, Head north from the Visitor Center and park in the Montville or Amphitheater parking areas.
