Lavender bellflowers and silver lupine blossom alongside Mosca Pass Trail, the path to Mosca Canyon and the National Preserve. Green-tailed Towhee birds bob between desert shrubs like playful cats. At lower elevations, hikers can seek shade beneath tall juniper, cottonwood, and aspen trees; spruce, fir, and limber pines thrive at higher reaches of the trail. Approaching 9,413 feet, views of Wet Mountain Valley are spectacular.
