This trail leads one mile from Cape Royal Road to Cliff Springs. The route descends westward from the road into the Clear Creek drainage. En route hikers will see an ancient cliff dwelling. Below the dwelling is Cliff Spring. The return hike is a 200 foot ascent to the canyon rim.

Directions: From North Rim Entrance Station, Drive southward along North Rim Parkway to a junction with the Cape Royal Road. Turn left on to Cape Royal Road and follow it several miles to roads end at Cape Royal. The trailhead for Cliff Springs Trail will be on your right as you near Cape Royal.

Elevation: 7,865 feet

Ending Elevation: 7,600 feet

Elevation Gain: 265 feet

Usage: Heavy in Summer
