This trail connects the Grand Canyon Lodge with the North Rim Campground. It leads one and a half miles northwestward from the Grand Canyon Lodge along the eastern rim of The Transept. The Transept is the largest tributary to Bright Angel Creek. This route allows for views of The Transept drainage and further west across Grand Canyon National Park.
Directions: From North Rim Entrance Station, Drive southward along North Rim Parkway to roads end at the Grand Canyon Lodge. The trailhead lies on the western side of the parking area.
Elevation: 8,160 feet
Ending Elevation: 8,240 feet
Usage: Heavy in Summer
