Lenape Trail is 5.5 miles long with an average walking time of 3.5 hours. This is an interesting hike that travels from the park hunting grounds over to the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. You will pass a number of small creeks and travel through a forest of rhododendron and hardwoods. One of the quickest access points to the trail is beside the Campground Contact Station. You may also access the trail from Scotts Run Lake, Hopewell Furnace Visitor Center or Route 345 / Shed Road. Follow the solid green blazes to stay on the Lenape Trail or venture off onto one of the many blazed trails that intersect this enjoyable trail.
Directions: From Birdsboro, PA, Take SR 345 south of Birdsboro about 5 miles to the park's east entrance. Travel along the park road to the first right. This takes you back into the campground and contact station. The trail begins along side the contact station.
