The first part of this path is well-worn and the later half is narrow and at times difficult to follow.

Attitash Trail runs between Bear Notch Road (closed in winter) and Moat Mountain Trail which runs past Diana's Bath and terminates on West Side Road in North Conway. The trail begins from the small parking lot traveling along an old gravel road crossing over Louisville Brook. The trail weaves away from the brook and then back to the water to begin an ascension to Table Mountain at 1.9 miles. This is the most popular stretch of path. Continuing on the trail narrows and at times is difficult to follow. A steep climb is required to get to the upper ridges of Big Attitash Mountain at 4.7 miles. The trail then descends down to Lucy Brook following the stream until the junction with Moat Mountain Trail at 7.2 miles.
