  • More than 450 miles of the California National Historic Trail pass through southeastern Idaho. Trace settlers routes using Auto Tour Route maps avaible from the National Park Service.
  • A particlarly scenic route on the trail follows the City of Rocks Backcountry Byway between state highways 77 and 27.
  • Look for roadside interpretive exhibits along the trail's route.
