Be sure to allow an hour or so wander through the Chaco Culture National Historic Park museum. View dioramas of the original village and of individual pueblos, as well as items recovered from the ruins, and watch a short film on the Anasazi culture.
You can also pick up maps and natural-history guides to help you identify the flora and fauna in the park.
