- Capitol Gorge is worth a wander. Heading down the canyon from the parking area, you'll pass some poor petroglyphs of the Fremont Culture at 0.1 mile on the left, canyon narrows at 0.3 mile, a pioneer registry on the left at 0.5 mile, and natural water tanks on the left at 0.75 mile.
- Capitol Gorge can be followed all the down to Notom Road, 3.75 miles one way.
