This easy route lies in the Windows District of Arches National Park. It follows a sand-covered path to the base of Double Arch, two large rock spans connected at one end. The trail is one half mile round-trip with little elevation gain.
Directions: From Main Park Entrance, Drive 9 miles northward along the park road to Balanced Rock parking area. Turn right at Balanced Rock and drive 3 miles to the Windows Parking Area. Parking is available on both sides of the road as it forms a loop to return to Balanced Rock.
