  • The park and pier are part of the city's park system along Ruston Way, Tacoma's two-mile-long waterfront area. Both are popular with scuba divers thanks to easy beach access and the artificial reef just off shore.
  • You can fish from the pier (there's a bait shop nearby), but it's also a great place to stroll and look out on Commencement Bay. A skate rental shop and restrooms are steps away.
  • Marine Park is open dawn to dusk; the pier is always open for fishing.
