FamilyExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • Seven miles outside of Steamboat, Strawberry Park is pretty much legendary in the world of Colorado hot springs. It's been a year-round draw here for decades, and it's one of the great family outings--during daylight hours. After dark, clothing is optional and no one under 18 is admitted.
  • The park was once just springs in the woods. Today, the pools of varying temperatures (the hottest is a constant 104 degrees) have beautifully constructed walls, there are five waterfalls, a tipi and heated cabin for changing, restrooms, a private pool available for Watsu (warm-water massage), and there are snacks for sale.
  • In winter, parking is extremely limited so take the shuttle out to the park instead. In summer there's more room, but keep in mind that the last few miles of the road are gravel.

This place is HORRIBLE! The man at the front gate (foreign with dark hair in a pony tail) claiming to be the manager was completly rude and sarcastic from the time we walked up to the gate until we were leaving the premisis. I am not sure how this so called manager has been working there but they might want to reavaluate his postion as his customer service skills are non-existent. My experience at Strawberry Park HotSprings left a sour taste in my mouth and I will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to anyone! After reading some of the reviews (which I sould have done before I went...live and learn) We are not the only group to be treated this way....sounds like word is getting out on the rudeness of this facility!
