Formerly the summer home of Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight, Vikingsholm Castle faces glorious Emerald Bay with a band of sky-high pines at its back. The majestic building was inspired by Scandinavian architecture, and construction utilized natural materials taken from the Tahoe Basin.

Tours of the interior showcase high wooden beams, intricate fireplaces, and Scandinavian furnishings. Explore the scenic grounds on a one-mile trail bordered by the parking lot and castle.
